Among the Borisov-Musatov works of his mature period, this picture was created in a small village Cheremshany near Saratov. It stands out by monumental and triumphantly rich style. This painter's creation is particularly different from other works by deep contrasting colors. Elongated horizontal composition makes it such a frieze, and at the same time resembles a wall mural paintings.

The notion of this picture creation transpired in the estate Zubrilovka of Saratov province. Fragility of the image is achieved through use of technique called matte tempera which creates an impression of a fresco glow. The image seems to consist of multiple transparent layers. Painting becomes so ethereal, that is close to poetry and music.
